The LEGO Motorized Lighthouse is an important LEGO set to me. I lost my grand parents earlier this year and they meant the world to me. My Grampa and I were very close. We shared a common bond of military service but even beyond that we could sit and talk for hours about whatever.

They did a lot of traveling and they were originally from Maine. Back east was a place they frequently returned to and they just had so many stories from there. Also, their ashes are going to be spread at a lighthouse in Maine. That is why I chose to buy this as sort of a memorial to them. What is crazy is that this set was released like a month before my Grampa passed away. He was very sick as it was and I saw that this set was being released and I knew I had to buy it. There is a male and female minifig that comes with it and that just represents my grandparents. It is a perfect set to remember them and I’m thankful that I was able to buy it.
